Dance music festival Dream Valley has announced its new location at Lydd Airport, Romney Marsh
Dream Valley, a new dance festival with over 100 musical acts on seven stages, has announced that it will now be held at Lydd Airport on Romney Marsh.
The festival, which will welcome music lovers on Saturday May 28, was originally due to take place at Danson Park, near Bexley. However, organizers have now revealed the new venue will be Lydd Airport, also known as Lydd London Ashford Airport.
All tickets remain valid and party buses will be organized to take visitors to and from the festival site. Buses will depart from a number of locations including Canterbury, Maidstone, Medway, Ramsgate and Tunbridge Wells and prices start from £12.50.
There will also be a selection of shuttles from DA postcodes, which will be free to compensate for the change in festival location.
Speaking of the move, Dream Valley organizers said: “The mecca of Kent has hosted Dance Music Culture for over 30 years, evoking memories of some of the UK’s biggest legal raves.
“Now the fields surrounding the airport will be transformed, ready to take you to another dimension full of dance music, immersive art and wellness experiences.”
The festival also announced the third phase of its lineup, which includes actor and DJ Idris Elba, Italian electronic musician Marco Carola and German duo Claptone.
They join previously announced artists Basement Jaxx, Roger Sanchez and Charlie Hedges.
The immersive dance festival is intended to combine electronic music artists with interactive experiences to create a unique live entertainment event. Visitors can take part in many activities throughout the day, including roller disco, yoga workshops, wellness classes, and an outdoor cinema.
There will also be a street food market to sample and, if your feet need a rest from the dance floor, you can relax in the VIP garden.
