Dusk Music Festival in Tucson was a blast

The Dusk Music Festival, held November 13-14 at Jacome Plaza in Tucson, was a really fun weekend. The event for all ages went smoothly and efficiently. I really had fun the whole time. The weather was perfect too, neither too hot nor too cold.

The diversity of the programming is what really struck me during this festival. There were bands like Jimmy Eat World and Grouplove, while also featuring electronic bands like Diplo. Watching Jimmy Eat World was so nostalgic for me. When they played ‘The Middle’ the whole crowd shouted for joy and sang all the words. It was such an epic moment for me, it was a really special night. Grouplove had incredible energy and kept the crowd dancing nonstop. I got to see Diplo and John Summit and their sets were also good. My favorite number from the festival was probably Sage Armstrong. He killed his set and rocked everyone.

I really liked the layout of the festival. The merchandise and food and drink vendors were all scattered around and it was very easy to access all of the steps. Loved the amount of options on offer for food and drink as well as alcohol. They also had marijuana vendors that offered marijuana merch and paraphernalia. Of course, being in Tucson I had to buy Eegee’s and got one flavored with pina colada. That was delicious! There were pizza, grilled cheese, tacos and more. There was even a massage vendor in the VIP section and I had the best massage ever.

Production

The visuals and lighting were there. I liked the way they set up all the scenes. It was easy to access everything, be it food or drink. The sound was good too, I didn’t really hear much of her bleeding. However, I think the bass could have been improved, but it was only a small thing that I observed. The lasers at the festival were really cool and gave the attendees a visually pleasing experience.

Final thoughts

Overall the festival was a blast !! I met so many new people and everyone was so nice and friendly. I thought Relentless Beats did an amazing job putting together an experience with art, music, and food. The festival exceeded my expectations and I can’t wait to return to this festival in the years to come!
