EDM Fans Ready For Spring Awakening Music Festival Return This Weekend
Electronic music will flood Addams / Medill Park this weekend as Spring Awakening Music Festival (SAMF), the Midwest’s largest all-electronic music festival, returns for its 10th year.
The two-day fully electronic music festival experience will feature the largest lineup in the festival’s 9.5-year history with over 70 artists performing on four unique stages, demonstrating a dynamic variety of genres across the spectrum. electronic music.
Headliners include Martin Garrix, Excision, Diplo, Galantis, RL Grime b2b Baauer, Dillon Francis, Madeon, Zomboy, AC Slater, Shiba San, Sofi Tukker DJ Set, and more.
SAMF will also offer silent discos, laser light shows, experiential activations and after parties. The organizers also promise many other surprises.
LiveXLive will live stream the festival and offer exclusive pre and post show coverage and live interviews with artists, managers and attendees of LiveZone, the original LiveXLive franchise that will bring an immersive fan experience to SAMF.
The move this year to October 2 and 3 was intended to take into account the constraints of COVID-19, which still play a role. In accordance with City of Chicago guidelines, organizers will require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test for entry to the festival.
Spring Awakening is an 18+ festival and participants will be required to present government-issued photo ID upon entry.
