GroundUp Music Festival 2023 Lineup: Snarky Puppy, Jeff Tweedy, Madison Cunningham

GroundUp Music Festival will return to Miami Beach this winter for its sixth iteration the weekend of February 3-5, 2023.

The multi-day independent festival will once again offer South Florida music fans intimate performances over three days and three nights at the open-air Miami Beach Bandshell in North Beach.

Like previous iterations of the GroundUp Music Festival, the Grammy-winning jazz ensemble Snarky Puppy will host performances across all three days. Other artists on the 2023 lineup include Wilco guitarist and vocalist Jeff Tweedy, Madison Cunningham, Lizz Wright, band Mark Lettieri, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert bandleader Louis Cato and guitarist Isaiah Sharkey, who will serve as the festival’s artist throughout the weekend.

GroundUp will also offer attendees a full lineup of artists from around the world. The international roster of musicians includes Silvana Estrada (Mexico), Bassekou Kouyate (Mali), Gisela João (Portugal), Edmar Castañeda (Colombia), Grégoire Maret (Switzerland) and Meshell Ndegeocello (Germany).

Since its first edition in 2017, the GroundUp Music Festival has achieved underdog smash status as a truly independent music festival amidst a North American festival landscape dominated by giant heavyweights. Since its inception, the festival has been organized by co-founder Paul Lehr alongside Snarky Puppy bandleader Michael League. Together, the two have spent the past six years cultivating a community of musicians and music fans who want to experience this one-of-a-kind event on the shores of Miami Beach.
