Santa Fe Film Festival Gears Up For Its Hybrid Festival With In-Person + Online Screenings, Workshops # Preview #SantaFeFilmFestival #NMFilm #FocusOnNewMexico

Public events, especially film festivals, are in balance around the world as the latest COVID variant kicks out holiday gatherings, creating more concerns about whether or not to have gatherings. in person.

The Santa Fe Film Festival is no exception, as its 2021 edition went live to the disappointment of filmmakers who hoped to come to New Mexico for this iconic festival.

This year, the Festival has made an effort to organize in-person events while ensuring the safety of participants. Part of that planning included the decision to require proof of vaccination as well as the requirement for masks, social distancing and frequent hand washing. To help the festival stay safe, their COVID compliance partner, VIP StarNetwork, the leading film and TV compliance provider, will help support these efforts by being on site with PPE, rapid testing, and more.

“This decision to have in-person activities was not taken lightly, it was the main weekly discussion we had with our team,” said Stephanie Piche, Executive Director of the Film Festival of Santa Fe, “We have worked closely with our and will follow our state’s guidelines for offering limited in-person tickets to our events in addition to our security protocols.”

Highlights of the festival

This year, the Santa Fe Film Festival recorded over 500 feature film, documentary and short film admissions from 36 countries, which made judging difficult as there were so many incredible entries submitted, many of which had to be judged. withdraw due to their distribution.

The Festival will offer the nominated films online from February 3 to 20, giving moviegoers an additional week to watch entries online with their streaming partner, XERB. Second weekend: We have America Young, Spirit of New Mexico Award Winning Actor / Director, Philanthropist (Roswell, NM, Stunt Coordinator for Warner Bros. and Universal Studios), 12-time Emmy Award winner and Grammy nominee Chris Gero. record producer, well known for his visionary style in the music industry. An accomplished composer and director, “The Sound of Us” is Gero’s second feature documentary. Gero is also the Founder of Yamaha Entertainment Group and Director of Artist Relations for Yamaha Artist Relations Group. Gero oversees the management and branding of Yamaha’s global roster, having signed over 5,000 artists to date. Also known for his large-scale concert productions, Gero has produced live concerts for some of the biggest names in the music industry including Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Tony Bennett, Michael McDonald, Norah Jones, Sheryl Crow and John legend.
