The Finger Lakes Chamber Music Festival will perform at the Courthouse on July 13

PENN YAN – The Yates Concert Series, announces its fourth concert of its Wednesday night concerts on the Courthouse Lawn series. This event is scheduled for July 13 starting at 6:30 p.m. and is located in the Village of Penn Yan at the intersection of Court and Main streets.

Featured artists are the Finger Lakes Chamber Music Festival. During the summer, they give concerts as well as educational activities in high schools and summer camps in the region. Their concert will include music by Bach, Beethoven and Duke Ellington; folk music, ragtime, dance beats, tunes from Broadway shows; film music and pop, and even a “Hoedown” that might have people jigging!

Treat yourself and unwind with an evening of exquisite and delicious music for your listening pleasure.

This 2022 free concert is sponsored by Mark and Deb Malcolm and Dave Boyd Music. Although the concert is free, traditional yellow buckets will be given out, funds raised are used to help keep this summer streak going.

Refreshments during the concert are provided by the Yates County Center for the Arts. Parking is available at the county lot, as well as those at the Penn Yan Public Library and First Baptist Church. Bring your own lawn chair or picnic blanket. Bring family, friends, neighbors, come and enjoy.

In case of bad weather, the concert will take place in the nearby First Baptist Church. Whatever the weather, be sure to stop outside First Baptist Church for a hot dog or hamburger supper before the concert begins.

The next concert on July 20 will feature the Penn Yan Community Chorus.
