Each year, countless hours are devoted to the organization of the festival, which requires the support of many individuals and businesses in Leduc. Volunteers are relied upon to help run the many classes where children perform for referees. Most performances are scored by a judge who is a professional musician. Then each student is coached on their performance by the referee. The process provides a creative outlet for music students and encourages them to practice and improve their skills.

The Leduc Music Festival is fortunate to have the support of four local families, two other non-profit organizations as well as peers from the music community to award prizes to top performers in specific categories. This year, 18 students received scholarships to help them continue their studies.

The Leduc Rotary Music Festival is a non-profit organization run by volunteers. They have partnered with many local businesses including churches, restaurants, other non-profit organizations, the Rotary Club of Nisku/Leduc and the Town of Leduc to offset the costs of running the festival and award prizes in cash to the highest scoring students in each class.
