Wagga Sunset Sounds music festival postponed to 2022 | Daily advertiser

news, local news,

The Sunset Sounds music festival that was scheduled to take place at the Murrumbidgee Turf Club in Wagga early next month has been postponed for a year. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions across Australia and border closures, organizers announced Monday that the one-day music festival will now take place on November 5, 2022. In a statement, organizers assured that the event would still feature “a killer line-up filled with some of Australia’s all-time favorite rock and pop heroes”. The festival’s initial lineup included Australian artists such as former Cold Chisel guitarist Ian Moss, country music favorite Shannon Noll and Kate Ceberano. Ticket holders are requested to keep their tickets, which will automatically become valid for the new date of the event. Ticket holders can also expect to hear from Ticketek in the coming days regarding the event. IN OTHER NEWS: Cass Writer, events coordinator at Murrumbidgee Turf Club, said the club were disappointed but understood the decision. “We can’t wait to have the concert next year,” she said. “It will be bigger and better, hopefully, with restrictions that are a thing of the past, and we are focusing on the big racing days ahead.” Our reporters work hard to provide local and up-to-date news to the community.
